Snickerdoodles are cinnamon sugar cookies that’s made with common ingredients like flour, sugar, butter, and salt. But what makes this cookie particularly special is the use of cream of tartar.

The use of cream of tartar is to add a slight tangy flavour to the snickerdoodles. Cream of tartar also prevents the sugars from clumping together in the dough, creating a more tender and soft texture to the snickerdoodles. Without the cream of tartar, it will taste delicious, but it won’t have the traditional flavours of the snickerdoodles. It will more likely tastes like a regular sugar cookie.
