This recipe is for those who are tired of the same old noodle dishes and want to try something new. This time, I will share my best yet easy-to-follow Ifumie recipe. But first, what is Ifumie? Ifumie is fried noodles with stir-fried vegetables on top. This food originated from China and usually can be found in Chinese restaurants.
The ordinary noodle dishes are usually boiled and then served with soup or fried noodles which are fried and then added with other spices. But to make ifumie, noodles are boiled and then fried in a lot of oil until they become crispy. The gravy for ifumie is made from stir-fried vegetables that taste savoury and thick.
As mentioned before, this Ifumie recipe I made is effortless and quite easy, the ingredients can be found in any supermarket, and their price is all affordable. If you're wondering when to serve ifumie, it's equally delicious for lunch and dinner.
For this Ifumie recipe, I used four types of vegetables they are; cabbage, cauliflower, baby corn and carrots. For the type of vegetables, you can replace it with any combination of vegetables you like, from bok choy to broccoli to mushrooms. In addition, I used chicken breast, but you could also substitute it with shrimp, squid, or meatballs instead.
