Satay is a very popular food in Southeast Asia. Each country has its own characteristics. For example, satay in Malaysia uses turmeric to make the meat yellow, but Indonesian satay uses sweet soy sauce to make the meat sweet and savoury. If you have ever travelled to Southeast Asia, you will surely agree that this dish is one of the best dishes.

In this opportunity i will give you a simple satay recipe which you can make at home. This is a recipe for Satay from Indonesia a.k.a sate. Usually, charcoal will be used to grill the satay. However, because this recipe is for homemade satay, we will cook it in a frying pan.

Since this is an Indonesian satay recipe, we will serve it with peanut sauce. A peanut sauce makes the satay more savoury and slightly spicy.

In addition, you can use pickles or simply sliced tomatoes and lime on the side. By adding those condiments, it will give more acidity and make it taste fresher! they indeed complement each other.
